The Sekere Community Youth Association (SCYA) is endeavoring to conduct again its Community Census Project and upgrading its Census System so it can capture, store and process data into useful information for the community. The information that is to be collected, analyzed and reported will surely benefit the community, and even the national, state and local governments, and hopefully, other communities can adopt and implement it as one of their own community activities.
The project is expected to collect data every 5 years and do updates every year and its purpose of collecting data is to:
- inform better decision-making on projects and activities
- preserve demographic information on individuals and families
- monitor the community’s education, health and economic status
- provide awareness and statistical information to the public
